Website Kick Start

I highly recommend anything from Tara Gentile.  Earlier this year I took an e-course from her.  She is an amazing teacher who is truly inspiring.  She wants you to succeed and you can tell.

Everything Tara does is sure to leave you with inspiration and energy to take whatever the next step is!

This is the last time she's offering this course this year, so hurry and sign up before it's too late!  There's less than a week left to grab a seat in the last Website Kick Start of 2011.

Why commit to learning how to build a website before the end of the year?
  • Because this is a skill that's going to serve you for years to come.
  • Because your business deserves better than "some day."
  • Because what you have isn't cutting it anymore.
Why commit to reexamining your web presence before the end of 2011?
  • Because this isn't just about code & pixels, this is about reexamining the way you market your business & communicate your vision.
  • Because this about you, your customer, and building a community.
  • Because 2012 is going to start with a bang.
Why have others committed to Website Kick Start?

"The skills I learned in Tara's Website Kick Start course have taken me from visualizing a beautiful website to actually creating one and tweaking another to represent my custom brand.

I learned so much from her clear, accessible, fun lessons helping me to really understand the ins and outs of my site. Not to mention, the support is AMAZING. All of my questions (large and small) were answered thoroughly and in a speedy turnaround time. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend taking this class and taking ownership of your website!"

Whether this is a goal you had all year long... or one that finally looks feasible, this is your chance to get a website you love at the fraction of the cost of hiring a designer or developer.

And you keep these skills for life.

Review of Making Motion by Tara Gentile

Making Motion: 7 Steps for Doing More with Your Creative Life

If you have been following along with this blog in the last few months, you have probably read (far too many times!) that for a variety of reasons I have felt stuck and unsure how to proceed in my life, business, etc. I seem to take 1 step forward and then I would fall 2 steps back.

I am happy to announce that I no longer feel stuck. I’m moving forward with some great new ideas, new products and fresh new pendants! I have a couple hundred –NEW- pendants in progress right now!

How did I get in motion again, you ask?

Well, for one, I have been taking Tara Gentile’s (of scoutie girl) Art of Action course. It is such a great space for learning and support.  It has helped to get in me in action. Bonus:  I’ve made connections that I’ll have the rest of my life.

Tara also wrote the eBook Making Motion. I read it and worked on the worksheets all in one sitting. It made everything click for me.  Then I got up and started those couple hundred pendants. Sunday morning, 6:30 a.m. before anything had a chance to stop me.

I had a clearly defined action to take after reading Making Motion.  I knew what I needed to do to get in motion.  I took that action.

See, I have this huge problem of infinite time of “gathering information.” I research and research and, if I am being honest with myself, it’s really just procrastination from making decisions. I’m always afraid I’ll make the wrong one. Somehow, somewhere deep down inside I feel like if I don’t actually make a decision - if I don't make the "motion" or act - I can’t make the wrong choice. Like making the wrong decision would be the end of the world or something.

If you are feeling unable to move forward in any aspect of your life, I highly recommend Tara’s eBook Making Motion.  It’s only $8 and it is worth much more!

Now, go get yourself a copy of Making Motion (just click on the photo above) and get yourself in motion!

Full disclosure: I am an affiliate. However, I wouldn’t be an affiliate unless I felt 100% behind the product! It’s really good stuff.

Action!

Sometimes life has a way of putting exactly what you need right in front of your face.

And, did you ever notice that when you start working on something or thinking about something, everything around you is shouting messages to you.

For example, today I started the Art of Action class.  Every word was something I needed to hear.  Some of it, things I was starting to try to do, but didn't know exactly what to do.

After listening to, watching and beginning to work on the first lesson, I clicked on my horoscope on twitter, this is what it said:

"You cannot see a direct path to success today, but that's okay because you don't mind zigzagging around as you close in on your destination. You may not even care about the details of where you are going now as long as you have a general idea. Ironically, being too practical will only create additional problems. Keep returning to your initial vision; the specifics will come to you over time."

The first lesson is about success.

Then I was talking to my mom.  It's my birthday and she read to me what she wrote in her journal today about her thoughts on my birthday.  I got sort of stuck on the worksheet portion of the class today because the very first step was to think of a time you felt truly successful or something you feel truly successful about.  I blanked out.  But, my mom gave me a whole list of things I am successful at without me even asking her!  (love mom!)

I know this class is going to help me.  It already is.

{If you are interested in the class, you can still join for a few more hours!  I highly suggest it based upon the first class! Click here to view more details}

Get Unstuck!

I have recently gotten myself "unstuck".

It all started late last November when I moved and lost my nice, large studio.  First, I just wasn't sure HOW to work in my new space.  Then I started to wonder what the next step in my business should be.  Not sure if I should add more of a variety products or narrow down my focus, but I knew a change is what I wanted, I felt even more stuck.

I couldn't decide what to do next, so I just stayed stuck.  For a couple of months I remained action-less for the most part.

Then one day I knew I had to make a decision and take action, whatever that action was.  I made a list and started completing tasks and checking things off of it.

I'm still coming out of the "stuckness" slowly, but surely.  I am moving ahead and acting and eventually I will be be actually realizing my dreams instead of just dreaming them.

Tara Gentile of scoutiegirl wants to help you take action (and get unstuck!)

52 Weeks of Blogging Your Passion

I love the beginning of the year and the feeling of everything being new, but this year I am not making New Year Resolutions. Instead, I am trying to start a few new things (not resolutions, just trying out stuff...) and really focusing on making B.B. Bellezza as good as I can one step at a time.

One thing I am currently working on is my blog and feeling more of a connection to the blog community.

Sometimes I wonder what to write for my blog, or feel like I need to pull something out of thin air. So, when I saw Tara Gentile of Scoutie Girl had written 52 Weeks of Blogging Your Passion, I knew I had to get it.

It seems it's written just for me, too. (Probably for you, too!) I have read through the entire book, and it's great. It is well-written, easy-to-follow and gives you a very organized approach to writing blog posts. (which is what I really need!) What I love most is that Tara gives weekly prompts to help you shape your blog posts.

I highly recommend it for any artist, crafter or designer blogger out there who wants to get their thoughts out there and share their work.

Click on the picture above to get more information and to make a purchase of the book.
