Discover new Valentine's Day Jewelry

Valentine's Day is coming up soon and for B.B. Bellezza that means HEARTS!

I have all new heart jewelry!

The hearts started out as wire.  I twist and wrap the wire.  After it's formed, I hammered the wire to harden it and help it keep it's shape.  Plus it gives the hearts a beautiful texture.

You can find all the designs in my etsy shop.

Available are:

Copper,
Silver plated copper
and Black coated copper.

You can get earrings, pendant or a gift set.

$15 each

Show your love or give a thoughtful Valentine's Day gift!  Just let me know if it's a gift and I place it in a gift box, send it to the recipient and add your custom message!

Note:  I do note have the black coated or silver plated heart necklaces listed yet, but feel free to contact me to order them.

These are all made to order, so give me a couple of extra days to get your order in the mail.

Blue Vintage Bead Necklace and Earrings Gift Set

I'm so happy to show you my latest eco-friendly jewelry design!

Blue Vintage Necklace and Earrings Gift Set

The blue beads reflect the light so beautifully!

This set was created from a vintage necklace.  The necklace was no longer wanted and it was pretty horrible.  However, the beads are still gorgeous!

This set is the perfect gift for any woman in your life.  It's a beautiful color that any woman would love, and the earrings and necklace compliment each other perfectly.

Plus, the set is gift-ready in an adorable handmade gift box.

The pendant on the necklace is 1 1/2" long.  The necklace is 24" long (and can be shortened easily.)  I wire wrapped the pendant with silver plated copper wire.

The earrings are 2" long from the top of the earring wires to the bottom of the bead.  The earring wires are made with surgical steel wire that's lead and nickel free.

This set is available in my online store for a wonderful price - just $25!

(Note:  I have only one set listed, but I have supplies to make a few more.  Let me know if you need more than one set.)

Upcycled Red Chandelier Crystal Earrings

I have always been fascinated with beautiful chandeliers.  Maybe you, too, love the way the light hits the prisms and sends splashes light all over the room.

Years ago I bought a huge lot of chandelier crystals from a broken chandelier and made tons of beautiful jewelry.  I was hooked from then on.

I have never, however, seen red crystals like these.

They are a gorgeous red color.

Do you wear a lot of gray and black (I know I do!)?  These are the perfect compliment to go along with them.

Need some beautiful earrings for an upcoming holiday party?

Need the perfect holiday gift?

These Upcycled Red Chandelier Crystal Earrings are for you!

They aren't too heavy - the crystals are small.  The entire earring from the top of the hook to the bottom of the crystal is about 2 1/2".

You can see in the top photo how they reflect red light!

They won't agitate your sensitive ears - I use nickel-free surgical steel earrings!

Find them in my etsy shop.  Click here to order.

Changes to this Blog + New Website. Like my Tutorials? Please read this!

I wanted to let you know that there would be a few changes happening around here.

I have started a new website for everything tutorial related.  There's a brand new tutorial over there:  Wire Wrapped Skeleton Key Headband Tutorial.

Tutorial website:  KimberlieKohler.com

Another change:  I'm married and my name is now Kimberlie (Burkhart) Kohler!

There is a new Emerging Creatively Tutorials Facebook Page (it's VERY new with no information, but don't worry, that will change!)

The B.B. Bellezza Facebook page for my jewelry updates.

My Twitter account (now @BBBellezza) will be switching to the name Kimberlie Kohler soon.  I will include tweets about everything I’m doing including both new jewelry and tutorials.  It’s me, lol, so it’s whatever is happening in my life at any given moment.

I already have 2 separate newsletters:

For Handcrafted Jewelry, B.B. Bellezza

So, make sure that if you are interested in Tutorials, to make the switch over to the new website so you keep getting great information.  And if you're interested in my handcrafted jewelry, stay right where you are!  If you are interested in recycling tips and ideas, you'll find them in both blogs depending on the information.  (If they are tutorial related, they'll be at KimberlieKohler.com)

Also - I'm still working on the Kimberlie Kohler website, so it's not so beautiful yet and there isn't a simple button to click to follow, but if you sign up for my email newsletter, I'll make sure that you you get updates!  (I'll be changing the look somewhat of this blog, too.)

If you are interested in all I do, sign up for both newsletters and follow both blogs!  :)

If you are confused, let me know in the comments below and I’ll try to un-confuse you!

Also note:

Everything that I have posted thus far on this blog will remain here, and all my posts up to this point have also been transferred to the new website.

From this point on, however, posts will be in their perspective websites.

Try a New Technique

{bracelet from my wedding}
I started making jewelry when I was a child.

I don’t exactly remember how I got started. I do know that I have this pink unicorn purse/tiny duffle bag filled with beads. They were all just in there together mixed up. Plus there was stretch cord.

I made bracelets mostly. In random rainbow colors.

I got into other things and left the pink unicorn purse behind.

Then one day, about 7 years ago I pulled out the purse again and started making jewelry again.

Through the years I have tried new techniques. Sometimes I love the new technique, sometimes I hate it. If I love it, I keep doing it. If I hate it, I don’t do it again. I remember when I first tried wire-wrapping (one of my most favorite techniques now), I was all over the place. My wraps were a mess and I really didn’t know what I was doing. I started making rings, too. I just looked at what other people’s rings looked like and tried it in my own way.

I did it. I figured it out. My wraps became more even and less a big mess. My designs stayed together and I did it!

Sometimes trying something new can be intimidating. For me, making jewelry isn’t, but computer stuff is. Moving my blog over to Wordpress has been intimidating. I’m taking a class to learn the steps of how to do it, and I’m learning.

Maybe wire-wrapping jewelry is like that for you. You’re not sure where to even start. That’s how I was with Wordpress. I am glad I found someone to hold my hand through the process.

I’m happy to let you know that soon I can hold your hand through the process of learning to wire-wrap. I will soon be done with my latest digital program, Wire Wrapping for Beginners. I’m so very proud of this eBook and I can’t wait to get it into your hands! I will tell you more details later, but I am so excited about it!

To make sure that you get the details about the eBook and when it's available (including an early bird special), make sure to subscribe to email updates!

How to Make....

I'm a Craftsy Designer

As I am sure you have noticed, I have been focusing on "How Tos" lately.  I love making different projects and I really love sharing instructions so you can learn how to, too.

Recently Craftsy opened up their pattern store!  You can find all kinds of patterns, tutorials, etc. on it.  I have my own store there, too.

Craftsy is great because you have access to the tutorial immediately after buying.  You don't have to wait for me to send an email with the tutorial!

My tutorials are more like digital workshops.  You learn everything you need to know as if you were a beginner.  My "How to Make Extraordinary Jewelry from Ordinary Objects" tutorial teaches you how to make hardware jewelry as if you have never made jewelry again.

Plus, you get several different patterns for different hardware jewelry designs, from earrings to bracelets to necklaces + inspiration for customization.

If you have any questions or get stuck, I'm only an email away!

My other digital workshops are similar.  The only difference is that the workshops involving sewing (Fabric Cuff Bracelet and Design-a-Doll), I do assume that you can at least sew in a straight line and around curves and corners.

If you don't want a full out digital workshop, you can opt for my individual patterns, which just include one project.  For example, a pair of earrings, or one style of fabric cuff bracelet.

Terms of Use:

Please use the products you make from my tutorials in any way you want.  You can make things for gifts or even to sell!  If you end up teaching these in workshops in the future, I would appreciate that you don't share the tutorial with other people who want to teach, but ask them to purchase the tutorial from me.

I would love to hear about you starting a new business with the skills you learned from my tutorials!

Please do not share, copy, sell, or distribute any tutorial or any part of any tutorial, however.

Any questions about that, just let me know!

Upcoming

I have new tutorials planned for the entire year.  New doll tutorials will be coming out later this month.  I'm also working on an Altered Art Jewelry Workshop, Embroidery workshop + many more!  Plus a lot more free tutorials right here on the blog!

What do you want to learn how to do?
