Today started out really productive and positive. I took photos for a new free tutorial for my tutorial newsletter subscribers. In the process, I finished a super cute project.
After I finished the project and the photo, I felt tired and I decided to take a "quick" nap.
It has been a long week. I have been sick and haven't had a lot of sleep. I feel asleep for a lot longer than I meant to. When I woke up I felt icky and that I was wasting the day!
I felt bad. Then I saw that cute little dotee doll, and felt a lot better. Why? Because I accomplished such an adorable project! Plus, I have a great start on sharing the project with others so they can also bring cuteness into the world.
Sometimes what you need is a completed project to see what you have actually accomplished. The dotee doll did that for me.

This one, "Wood Street", was taken in Centralia, Pennsylvania, a ghost town with an underground mine fire that has been burning for years. Limited Quantity items:
I have a very limited quantity of typewriter key rings left and limited letters. Some are listed in my Etsy shop and there are some at my booth at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER. If you are looking for a specific letter, you can contact me and I'll check if I still have it.
Custom Orders:
I can still take custom orders for custom scrabble pendants or glass square pendants. Time is dwindling, though, so contact me asap. They do take at least a few days to complete. One-of-a-Kind
Jewelry is a great choice for a gift anytime. Handmade jewelry is especially a lovely gift because the recipient is receiving a one-of-a-kind piece that was made with a high level of craftsmanship and you can actually meet the person creating your piece. A majority of pieces are one-of-a-kind or are made in very limited quantities because I repurpose and upcycle many materials. I have many choices and pieces to choose from. For example, I have a limited number of crystal chandelier earrings, necklaces and bracelets; a very limited number of typewriter key rings; my key pendants are each one-of-a-kind and are very limited; and many of my Scrabble Tile Pendants are completely one-of-a-kind.

As you may have read in a previous post, I have given notice at my day job recently. Right now I have one more week of working for the "man" and then I am on my own. Things are pretty hectic.

B.B. Bellezza’s focus is changing. I am going to be focusing more on recycled and reclaimed materials and products.
Here’s my new artist statement:
Bellezza means "beauty" and I believe you can find beauty everywhere. An abandoned board game, hardware left in a shed, clothes that someone has grown out of or are no longer useful in their current form, keys that no longer have anything to unlock are all items I give a second chance at beauty.
B.B. Bellezza focuses on handcrafted jewelry and also makes coasters from discarded ceramic tiles and dolls from recycled clothing.
My inspiration comes from nature and the mission of B.B. Bellezza is to leave the Earth at least as good as I found it, if not better.
Therefore, I will be slowly phasing out certain products that I carry. This will be a relatively slow transition because I do have a lot of inventory and supplies still. Some of your favorites will just be transformed into more green and environmentally friendly products, and less on consumerism and waste. For example, I will still make charm bracelets, but they will have recycled and reclaimed elements instead of beads and traditional charms.

I have some Breast Cancer Awareness Jewelry featured at my stand. All the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of a dear friend that we lost to breast cancer at the end of the year last year. The jewelry will be in my Etsy Shop soon.

New Items
I have been hard at work listing new Scrabble Tile Pendants in my Etsy shop. There are plenty of new pendants at my artMarket stand, too.
New with the pendants: Now in my Etsy Shop: Mix and Match Pendants. The pendants will be available separately from the cord/chain so that you can purchase as many pendants as you want and just one cord/chain. The pendants are less expensive without the chain, so you can save money by only purchasing one chain. This will also be available at my craft shows – starting at Spring Art Walk.
Coasters! My most popular version of the coasters are the sets that have been collaged with real stamps. Right now I have a French Stamp set listed and I have another set in process of lots of random stamps that will be ready in a few days. The coasters are finished off with many layers of a waterproof lacquer, so they are waterproof. (They can’t go in the dishwasher, though!)
I also have adorable sets made with sweet paper, fabric and lace as well.

I can’t believe another month has passed so quickly! This is also my birthday month, which I have been telling anyone who will listen. I think birthdays are a time to celebrate! And, even though I may sound narcissistic, I prefer my birthday to other holidays for one reason: I don’t have to do anything. There are no presents to make, no gifts to wrap, no meals to make. I can just relax and enjoy myself.

The most exciting news for B.B. Bellezza this month is that my artMarket stand has been expanded and redesigned! It is now girly and pink and just perfectly B.B. Bellezza!

It’s definitely craft show season! I have been having a lot of fun doing different events about every other weekend. I love talking to my customers, so please come talk to me! I usually can even make adjustments to jewelry right on the spot, too.

First Friday Business Expo At ASSETS 237 North Prince Street Lancaster, PA 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. It’s in the awesome courtyard. If it rains, we’ll be inside.
