Reasons to be happy!

Today I feel very happy! I thought I would list out the reasons....in random order.

1. My car has been freed from its icy cage! Yesterday I got the battery jumped (thanks AAA!) and then my neighbor pulled me out with his van. What a great guy, he just moved in over the weekend. I plan on making his family some chocolate chip cookies this weekend.

2. My eBay store is reopened. I decided to reopen...again...my eBay store. I am excited because I will have new products with new packaging that I am really excited about. The store is open, but there is nothing in it yet...grand reopening is tentively scheduled for March 3. 3. It is WARM out!! Yay!! The ice from my parking spot is now all gone!!

4. I had a very busy day at work, but I had a wonderful lunch at a great place thanks to Jan from Citizen's Bank. She is just lovely and it is a great bank. They really go out of their way for us at work. (my day-time gig as a paralegal)

5. I bought some Burt's Beeswax Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme: I have had it in sample size and love it and today went all out and bought the full size. 6. One of my bestest friends - Cheryl - is probably coming to visit this weekend! YAY!

7. I am feeling very excited about some new ideas brewing in my head that I am going to start to make reality! That always makes me happy!

8. I adore my boyfriend! He's the best!

I bought some postcards. First, I love postcards, and second I love her art. I can't wait to get them!

10. My birthday is coming up and my mom told me she went shopping on my amazon.com wish list. There is a lot of really great stuff on that list and I can't wait to see what she got me! (This one is selfish, I know...but it still makes me happy!)

I am cheerful and happy and feel creative....so I am going to go create!

Paying it Forward

So, to start to get back into the swing of things, I made one of my necklaces a PIF on Etsy... A PIF is "Pay It Forward." I list an item for free and someone can have it, they just need to pay it forward. I actually got a really cool PIF bookmark from http://alissascreations.etsy.com that I was repaying by listing the PIF. She has all kinds of cool bags, too. I was really pleased with my purchase.
This is the necklace that I listed as a PIF. It got grabbed up right away, which thrilled me.

The craziest thing is that I had made this and similar necklaces a pretty long while back. I get a beading magazine over the weekend that has the same style necklace in it. Now, I am not saying by any means that they stole the idea from me, but I don't think I have seen necklaces so similar before and viola, there they are. I guess I was just ahead of my times when I made them. LOL

I have some other jewelry listed really inexpensively because I have had it in inventory for awhile. There will definitely be more coming soon. Maybe tonight even...I kind of have a hankering to do some listings. Of course, since school has started I am always worried that I am going to get behind or something. I am taking an extra course this semester.

Back again....

Well, it has been quite a while since the last post. I have been reading some really beautiful blogs and wondering how do they make their blogs so beautiful and professional and lovely? I scarcely know what I am doing. But, I must try! I WILL be part of this lovely blogging community.

I have also been in a sort of hibernating, relaxing, reloading phase since Christmas. It is now time to get out of that funk and start back up with all the fun of my shop. I have been making some cool stuff - all for myself! I will let you in on some of this stuff soon.

Right now there are very few things listed in my shop. This shall be changing. I plan on updating sometime in the near future with some lovely jewelry at really inexpensive prices and of course my nurturing bath and body products. You must nurture yourself in this cold horrible wintertime. And you know you really should nurture your loved ones, too!

My plans for this blog will include really beautiful photographs as I am inspired by other bloggers, but alas, today will not be the day for this. This is just my trial blog to get me back into the swing of things again.
