Stop to see the flowers....

(smell the roses, take a photo of the brown-eye-susans....etc.) This photo was taken in Picture Rocks, PA on a trip to visit my family who live nearby. Time passes way too quickly! It's been an entire month since this trip. I don't even know where the time went!!

Nor do I have any idea where the time has gone here on my blog. This or that comes up and I just never get back here to fill you all in.

Later tonight (and I hope I'm not making promises I can't keep) I'll be sharing some photos of some more of the new pieces I'm working on for my fall line.
My Fall 2010 Line Debuts online this Thursday!!! (Talk about time flying!) September 2nd, 3pm Eastern Standard time. From 3 pm - 11:30 pm, you can get 15% off all the new pieces.

The in person debut is at Lancaster's First Friday. Stop by my booth at Building Character 342 North Queen Street, Rear Warehouses, Lancaster, PA 6 pm - 9pm September 3rd and you can get 15% off all the new pieces then, too. (I may include my entire booth in the deal that night....)

After Thursday and Friday, the pieces will continue to be available at their regular prices and new pieces will be added continually.

Recycled Cuffs - Sneak Peeks

I've been sewing my fingers off!  These new cuff bracelets are made from reused clothing - jeans, khakis, t-shirts, sweaters - and embroidery and hand-sewing. 

I have been really enjoying the very low-tech-ness of the process, sewing them entirely by hand.  The repetitiveness of creating them is very relaxing.  I think it's also notable that the only new parts of these pieces is the embroidery floss (and the designs!!)

These are a few of the many new cuffs to come for my fall line!  There are many more cut out and ready to be sewn.

Truth be told, these aren't completely done.  They need to have buttons sewn on yet, but I wanted to share what I have so far!

Don't forget, my new fall line will be premiering on Thursday, September 2, 2010 online starting at 3 pm, and First Friday, September 3, 2010 at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER 342 N. Queen St, Warehouse C, Lancaster, PA 6 pm - 9 pm.  At both events, all my new pieces will be 15% off.

New Hardware Jewelry - Sneak Peek at the Fall Line

These are 3 new pieces from my new fall line.  All 3 were actually inspired by a customer who does the fashion for a local theatre and asked to me to make jewelry for one of the scenes.  The first 2 will be in the show, and I have been wearing the 3rd piece.  I loved them so much, I have decided to make them permanent pieces in my jewelry line. 

All three are made from upcycled hardware.  

They will be officially debuting with the fall line.  They are $30 each, but if you contact me before August 5th, you can get your own pieces for just $25 each.  (I have earrings to match as well for $10 each.)   

I plan to release the fall line at the beginning of September both online and at my stand at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER.  So, you won't have a shot to buy them again until then after August 5th.

These pieces are real attention-grabbers.  I am constantly told how cool my necklace is.  Also, it should be noted....as I recently had this experience....you won't make it through a metal detector with them on!  :)  (it's no big deal as long as you realize that's the reason.)
