spoon necklace

spoon necklace, originally uploaded by B.B. Bellezza.

You've probably seen this new necklace either in my Etsy Shop or a photo in my blog, but I also wanted to mention some of the details of this cool necklace.

This necklace is made from an upcylced stainless steel spoon. It was abandoned, so I snatched it up and cut off the spoon part and added the pretty pressed glass flower by wire-wrapping to the spoon. It comes on a cotton cord.

I also have a similar necklace in blue, as well as a necklace at my Building Character stand in green.

I think that the handle of this spoon is so pretty that is was just begging to be jewelry.

I love to work with old silver spoons as well in my jewelry! I cut apart the handle from the bowl. The handles become bails and the bowls are filled with polymer clay and covered in cane slices. Makes for very unique jewelry that has that beautiful vintage feel to them.
