Monday we were planning on heading to Washington, D.C. to check out the Cherry Blossoms (if any were left) and check out some museums. Unfortunately, the weather was miserable, and we didn't feel like dodging the rain all day and the drive in the rain, so we made alternative plans.
We headed to Pottsville, PA to the Yuengling Brewery. This brewery has been family owned and operated since the beginning in 1829.
I highly reccommend checking out this brewery! They have daily FREE tours and even give you free beer to drink at the end of the tour.
If you click on the photo, you will be taken to my flickr photostream with lots of photos from the tour.

i LOVE yuengling! my favorites are the porter and the black and tan. and in addition to it being generally yummy beer, yuengling donates a portion of their profits to wycliffe bible translators (at least, last i know they did). we are friends with a couple who have lived in cameroon (africa) for years and have made it their life's work to make a mini-version of the bible in the bakka language. and because the bakka are pre-literate, they (the missionaries) have composed music in the style of the bakka, and set the biblical text to the music. it is a really amazing project.
great pictures!
